Bhavani Jamakkalam was never born in a design studio.
It emerged from the river plains of the Cauvery, Bhavani–Kumarapalayam in Tamil Nadu, shaped by a weaving community with a generational understanding of thread, tension, and rhythm.
For over three centuries, it has sustained livelihoods and grown into a living ecosystem. Today, the craft endures because its people continue to return to the loom, holding it together through time and change.
Recognised with a Geographical Indication (GI tag), it remains inseparable from its place and people.
House of Jamakkalam is founded by someone who calls Bhavani home, born and raised within this very native, having inherited the craft, and carrying it forward as its next chapter.
